What this is for
Membership subscriptions are customer payments tied to membership card tiers. They are different from your Carrott account billing.
Use them when customers pay monthly or yearly for perks, access, allowances, or member-only benefits.
Before selling memberships
Make sure you have:
- A membership card template
- Paid tiers configured
- Payment configuration completed
- Clear terms and cancellation rules
- A tested join link and checkout flow
Common tasks
Paid tier behavior
When customers join a paid tier, they may be sent through checkout before the wallet pass is issued or activated. After payment, the pass can show their membership tier and benefits.
Staff workflow
Staff should use the Scanner to confirm membership status and track any usage-based benefits or allowances.
Keep terms clear
Explain renewal timing, what the membership includes, and how customers can ask for help. Clear terms reduce support requests and payment disputes.
