Web scanner deprecation
The web scanner will be deprecated on June 22, 2026.
Use the web scanner only as a temporary fallback while your team moves over to the mobile app.
Who should install it
- Counter staff
- Front desk staff
- Store managers
- Event staff
- Anyone who scans customer wallet passes
Before staff sign in
Make sure each staff member has a team account with the right role. Use the Scanner role for staff who only need to scan and update customer cards.
Basic setup
- Install the app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Open the Scanner app.
- Sign in with the staff account.
- Choose the correct business workspace if asked.
- Scan a test customer card before using it with customers.
Shared devices
If your team uses a shared phone or tablet, create a dedicated scanner account for that device. Keep the device signed in, charged, and available at the counter.
If staff cannot sign in
Check that the account is active, has scanner access, and belongs to the correct business. If the account was created without email verification, an admin may need to help with password setup or reset.
