What is White Label Branding?

White Label Branding allows you to customize the Carrott platform to look and feel like your own product. Instead of your clients seeing "Carrott" branding, they'll see your agency's brand throughout the entire experience—from the login page to the dashboard.

What You Can Customize

  • Brand Name & Logo: Replace Carrott branding with your own

  • Colors: Set your primary brand color throughout the interface

  • Custom Domain: Use your own domain (e.g., loyalty.youragency.com)

  • SEO Settings: Control page titles and meta descriptions

  • Legal Pages: Link to your own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

  • Support Contact: Display your support email and phone number

Step 1: Check Your Plan

White Label Branding is available on select agency plans. To check if you have access:

  1. Go to SettingsBilling & Plans

  2. Look for "White Label Branding" in your plan features

  3. If it's not included, you'll need to upgrade your plan

Upgrading Your Plan

If White Label isn't available on your current plan:

  1. Go to SettingsBilling & Plans

  2. Click "Change Plan"

  3. Select a plan that includes White Label Branding

  4. Complete the upgrade process

Step 2: Configure Your Brand Settings

Once you have access to White Label:

  1. Go to SettingsWhite Label

You'll see a form with several sections to customize:

Basic Branding

  • Brand Name: Enter your agency or product name (this appears in the header and browser tab)

  • Primary Color: Choose your brand color - this affects buttons, links, and accent elements throughout the platform

  • Hide Brand Name: Check this if you want to show only your logo without text in the header

  • Logo Size: Adjust how large your logo appears (default is 40px)

Upload Your Assets

You'll need to upload images for different contexts:

Logo (Light Mode)

  • Used on light backgrounds

  • Recommended: PNG or SVG with transparent background

  • Size: At least 200px wide for best quality

Logo (Dark Mode)

  • Used on dark backgrounds

  • Recommended: White or light-colored version of your logo

  • Size: At least 200px wide

Favicon

  • The small icon that appears in browser tabs

  • Recommended: Square image, at least 32x32px

  • Format: PNG or ICO

Social Share Image (Optional)

  • Image that appears when your login/signup page is shared on social media

  • Recommended: 1200x630px, includes your logo and branding

SEO Settings

These control what appears in search engines and when links are shared:

  • Page Title: The default title for your branded pages (e.g., "Your Agency - Digital Loyalty Platform")

  • Meta Description: A brief description that appears in search results

Legal & Support

  • Terms of Service URL: Link to your terms page

  • Privacy Policy URL: Link to your privacy policy

  • Support Email: Shown to users who need help

  • Support Phone: Optional phone number for support

Step 3: Set Up Your Custom Domain (Optional but Recommended)

Using your own domain creates a completely branded experience:

Before You Start

You'll need:

  • Access to your domain's DNS settings (usually through your domain registrar like GoDaddy, Namecheap, or Cloudflare)

  • A subdomain to use (e.g., loyalty.youragency.com or cards.youragency.com)

Setting Up the Domain

  1. In the White Label settings, scroll to Custom Domain

  2. Enter your desired subdomain (e.g., loyalty.youragency.com)

  3. Click "Set Up Domain"

  4. You'll receive DNS records that need to be added to your domain

Adding DNS Records

Log into your domain registrar and add these DNS records:

Option 1: Root Domain (youragency.com)

  • Type: A Record

  • Name: @

  • Value: [IP address provided in setup]

Option 2: Subdomain (loyalty.youragency.com)

  • Type: CNAME Record

  • Name: loyalty

  • Value: [Domain provided in setup]

Verification

After adding DNS records:

  1. Return to White Label settings

  2. Click "Check Status" or wait a few minutes

  3. The status will show as "Pending" initially

  4. Once verified, it will change to "Active"

Note: DNS changes can take up to 24-48 hours to propagate, though usually it's much faster (5-30 minutes).

Step 4: Activate White Label

Once you've configured everything:

  1. Scroll to the top of the White Label settings

  2. Toggle "White Label Active" to ON

  3. Click "Save Configuration"

Your changes will take effect immediately:

  • On the custom domain (if set up)

  • On your agency's subaccount pages

  • On the login pages your clients see

Testing Your Setup

  1. Visit your custom domain (if configured) or log out and view the login page

  2. Check that your logo appears correctly

  3. Verify the colors match your brand

  4. Test both light and dark modes (if your browser supports it)

  5. Check that all links work correctly

Managing White Label Over Time

Making Changes

You can update your white label settings at any time:

  1. Go to SettingsWhite Label

  2. Make your changes

  3. Click "Save Configuration"

Changes apply immediately.

Temporarily Disabling

If you need to temporarily revert to Carrott branding:

  1. Toggle "White Label Active" to OFF

  2. Confirm the action

  3. Your settings are saved but not applied

To re-enable, simply toggle it back ON.

Updating Your Domain

If you need to change your custom domain:

  1. Disconnect the current domain first

  2. Wait for the disconnection to complete

  3. Set up the new domain following the steps above

Best Practices

Logo Design

  • Use transparent backgrounds for best results across different themes

  • Test both versions: Make sure your light and dark mode logos look good

  • Keep it simple: Complex logos may not scale well to small sizes

Color Selection

  • Accessibility: Ensure sufficient contrast with white backgrounds

  • Consistency: Use the same primary color you use on your main website

  • Testing: Check how buttons and links look with your chosen color

Domain Strategy

  • Use a subdomain: loyalty.youragency.com works better than a completely separate domain

  • SSL included: Your custom domain automatically gets SSL/HTTPS security

  • Keep it short: Easier for clients to remember and type

Client Communication

When rolling out white label to clients:

  1. Update your documentation to reference your branded platform name

  2. Update email templates that reference the platform

  3. Inform existing clients about the new branded experience

  4. Update your website to link to your custom domain for client logins

Troubleshooting

Logo Not Appearing

  • Check that the image uploaded successfully

  • Try a different image format (PNG usually works best)

  • Ensure the file size isn't too large (under 2MB recommended)

Domain Status Stuck on "Pending"

  • Double-check your DNS records are entered exactly as shown

  • Wait at least 30 minutes after adding DNS records

  • Check if your DNS provider has any propagation delays

  • Click "Refresh Status" to force a check

Colors Look Wrong

  • Try a different shade of your brand color

  • The color is applied to interactive elements, not the entire interface

  • Test in both light and dark modes

Can't Access Custom Domain

  • Ensure DNS records are correctly configured

  • Check that the domain hasn't expired

  • Verify there are no conflicting DNS records

  • Try accessing with https:// prefix

FAQ

Q: Do my clients see the white label branding? A: Yes! All your subaccount users will see your branding when they log in.

Q: Does white label work on mobile apps? A: The web interface is fully branded. Wallet passes (Apple/Google) display your card branding, not the platform branding.

Q: Can I use different branding for different franchises? A: White label is applied at the agency level. All subaccounts and franchises under your agency see the same branding.

Q: What happens if I cancel my plan? A: White label features will be disabled and the platform will revert to default Carrott branding.

Q: Can I white label the scanner app? A: The web-based scanner interface will show your branding. Native mobile apps cannot be white labeled.
